This magic defense is calculated from equipment and/or base magic defense settings, their Willpower statistic, and their m_absorb_up status. 114.CedusAug 6, 2007Defense formulas got tweaked a little. The same things go into the calculations as did before, just slightly differently. So, if you're noticing you're dealing/taking slightly different damage than you were before, that's why. (This was posted Jul 27, but it got duplicated somehow, and when I removed the duplicate, it cleared both. So, reposted.)

It's functionally more or less the same as in FF6, with a few additions that should prove quite interesting. If you don't already have Beast Man, a miniquest has been introduced which will allow you to gain the class (being a miniquest, it doesn't show up on the quests list, but use your imagination).
